GUYS OUR BABIES FROM THE CHIVE PLANTER LAST YEAR ARE BACK. I mean, my mom evicted them from the planter, but now they’re in the tree by the deck. LOOK AT THAT FLUFFY MOMMIE.
Take a few seconds and listen to how pleasant a dove coo is. :3
awww what a precious feathery fluffyboo :’)
This is a week-old baby dove that we found in my in-laws’ backyard! I think he’s an Inca dove, because of his mom’s size (about the length of my palm, from my wrist to the tip of my middle finger) and the dark outlines on their feathers (this little guy’s are more obvious because he just fledged a couple of days ago).
Isn’t he cute? And so chubby? He takes up the entire nest on his own, haha. c: (And we’re pretty sure that mama dove is using a nest that was already there, probably built by a towhee, because it’s a really nice nest and doves are crap at building nests. XD)
JESUS JUST LOOK AT THIS CUTIE
soren-grey: A mourning dove that built her nest in my balcony garden. She isn’t afraid of me at all. It’s like I’m a pest in her yard. I thought she looked so cute sitting there on the railing, glaring at my cat. So after I took this, I reached out to touch her. She puffed up her feathers and hoot-growled at me. Sorry, ma’am.
eveningdreams8 : you don’t really get a lot about pet doves so i thought i would submit mine *u*
this is Bebe, he loves to cuddle and has a pretty good sense of humour… for a bird
